Fiddleheads Acoustic Jam Camp~
Contookook, New Hampshire

I have attended and photographed this music camp for 3 years now and every year it keeps getting better and better! Just can't get enough! It's improved my cello & fiddle playing, I learn a ton and it’s so much fun!

The focus of Fiddleheads Acoustic Jam Camp is to teach and inspire musicians to play with each other in various styles - both singing and instrumental - and to experience playing in a band setting. Held each year in September, Jam Camp features hours of jams, workshops and concerts throughout the weekend. Campers form bands of various styles, work up and arrange a song together, and perform in an energy-filled Saturday evening concert.

From blues to bluegrass, jigs to jazz, cajun to country and more, this is the place to be if you want to be surrounded by great people and great music! There are top-notch coaches who are not only amazing musicians but who are also great teachers! I highly recommend this experience!

Here is a taste of the weekend in my attempts to capture the joy and spirit of the camp.
Special thanks to the directors, Ellen Carson and Melissa Bragdon Caron, truly exceptional humans.
