Ok so I have been to a lot, lot, lot of shows. Never have I heard a human voice like this. Or was it human. It felt like it came from the great beyond. Hearing Grammy Award winning Ruthie Foster was a visceral experience. She is a light and a universal voice that is timeless, deep and poignant. A gifted story teller, Ruthie shared the traditions in her family and church aunties growing up in central Texas. Her first time at One Longfellow Square—hopefully not her last, Ruthie Foster is not to be missed. Thank you Team Ruthie, for the great honor of photographing this beautiful, soulful woman.
